The Interior Health Authority has not seen an increase in COVID-19 cases since Thursday. That day Dr. Bonnie Henry announced one new case for a total of 195 to date.
Of those 195 cases, 191 patients have fully recovered from the virus. Sadly, two people in the Interior have passed away, leaving only two active cases of the novel coronavirus across the region.
Of the two active cases, one person is currently in hospital.
Key demographics in the Interior continue to run counter to provincial averages.
Provincially the most affected age group in 50-59, but here in the Interior, it’s 30-39. The 50-59 group is the third most affected.
Provincially more women than men contract the virus, the opposite is true in the Interior with more men contracting COVID-19 (104-males 91-females).
