Following this morning's incident involving an MSS student on their way to school who was threatened and robbed, the School District and School are working to provide support to any students who may need it.
Superintendent Steve McNiven joined Q101 to address the situation this morning.
“We have supports in place at the school,” began McNiven. “We have also sent a voice message home and we will be sending a letter home, letting parents know what took place this morning. In that letter, it talks to the fact that if any students need support and counselling to come forward so we can help them through this.”
“We really appreciate the help from the RCMP this morning and our goal right now is to communicate out to parents and our staff and students,” added McNiven.
