Canadians head to the polls on Monday to vote in the 43rd Federal Election and when they do, they’ll have a new option, the People’s Party of Canada. Local PPC candidate Allan Duncan joined Q101 to share his final thoughts ahead of election day, a day he believes could end with a surprise.
“We have great expectations and we’re going to work towards that goal and see what happens,” began Duncan. “We believe there are a lot of people that are going to vote for us, they might not be showing up on the bigger map, the polling. We are certainly encouraged.”
“I think people are ready for a change. The big polls show the Liberals and Conservatives neck and neck, and I think that’s an indication that people are undecided and want something different,” added Duncan. “If the PPC does well I think the big media companies will be surprised but we won’t be.”
The possibility of minority and coalition governments have been swirling during the final week of the campaign. Duncan said the PCC is ready to work with anybody to get things done.
“The PPC, we’re a new network, we’re going to go to Ottawa without any historical baggage, we’re going to bring our voice to Ottawa and work on your behalf,” concluded Duncan.
