The City of Merritt is pleased to announce that Scott Hildebrand has been hired as Chief Administrative Officer, effective April 29, 2019. Scott brings a wealth of senior management experience in both the public and private sector and received his education at the University of Regina, where he focused on Business and Marketing. The City of Merritt is confident that Scott will support the City’s goal to improve service levels and increase efficiency while ensuring value for our residents.
Scott’s career experience includes fourteen years as Regional Zone Sales Manager for Frito Lay Canada (PepsiCo), four years as Vice President and General Manager for McKenzie Seeds/Jiffy Canada, six years as City Manager for the City of Brandon. With the City of Brandon, Scott managed a team of over 600 people with a budget of $120 million.
Since coming to BC two years ago, Scott has worked in Kamloops as executive director for Sage Health Centre and as Director of sales for Canada with Fresh Is Best.

We feel strongly that Scott has the experience, skills and personality necessary to support Council’s vision of bringing increased economic prosperity and vibrancy to our community.”
Scott is married with 4 grown children, and enjoys traveling, golf, boating and spending time outdoors.
