Damage from flooding at the Merritt Golf and Country Club worse this year.
"Right now, it looks like we have a steady stream or river flowing through the back end of the golf course."
Head Professional Sydney Van Rensburg says he watched the worst possible scenario play out over the weekend.
"We all expected some flooding, but I don't think anyone expected it to be this bad. We have done all we can do here, and now all we can do is ride it out."
Flooding last spring caused more than $260,000 in damage to the Merritt Golf and Country Club.
While the first four holes remain open, Van Rensburg says they may be forced to close it, and in the process have to lay off an undisclosed number of employees.
