Marijuana Greenhouse In Logan Lake?

 

CAO Randy Lambright says the proposal from Medflora Pharmaceutical Inc would see a 425,000 sqft facility constructed at 184 Apex Dr.

 

He says it has the potential to bring 100 jobs to the area.

 

“The cannabis component is about a 25,000 sqft component. It however is not currently permitted and would have to go through a rezoning process. There are a number of conditions they would have to meet according to the Official Community Plan on light, odour and noise, those types of things.”

 

Lambright says the company has indicated they may file a rezoning application as early as September and hope to be operational in 2020.

 

Medflora Pharmaceutical Inc is partnering with the Lower Nicola Indian Band on the project, with the band providing workers for both site preparation and management of the facility if the project moves ahead.
