Four people and their pets escaped without injury after a fire in a home in Collettville on Monday morning.
Fire Chief Dave Tomkinson told Q101 News” the fire was first reported through 911 by a fast-acting neighbour, who also alerted the occupants to the fire.”
In total 16 firefighters responded with one engine and the department’s ladder truck.
Fire damage was concentrated primarily in the garage area, with smoke and fire damage extending into the living portion of the home.
Tomkinson added those displaced were referred to Emergency Support Services (ESS) for assistance.
