BREAKING: Nicola Valley Hospital closing for 25 Hours beginning Sunday morning

For the second time in just over two weeks, the emergency room at the Nicola Valley Hospital will be closed to those in the Nicola Valley.

Interior Health notified residents at 12:18 p.m. Saturday that beginning Sunday morning  (July 5) at 7:00 a.m., the emergency room will be closed until 8:00 a.m. Monday (July 6).

On June 18, the emergency department was closed for 25 hours; the first closure of 2026.

Patients can access care at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops or at the Kelowna General Hospital.

Interior Health said all other patient services will continue as normal at the Nicola Valley Hospital.
