Two members of your Merritt Centennials have been selected to the KIJHL’s final regular season Team of the Week.
Forward Callum McLean and defenseman Lukas Masters earned the honors announced this week.
McLean had nine points in two games including six combined goals in back to back wins over Kelowna and Quesnel over last weekend.
McLean (20-26-46 pts) had played the best part of the 2025-26 campaign on the Centennials top line which included center Troy Horn (17-38-55 pts) and rookie phenom Noah Lawless (30-34-64 pts) for a combined 165 points.
“Callum (McLean) has had a very good year for us. He has worked hard to stay in the line-up and he deserves this chance on the top line.” said Cents head coach Wes McLeod. “He goes to the dirty areas and gets pucks and he has a quick release as well.”
Meanwhile D-man Lukas Masters also had a great weekend offensively notching five assists in the pair of wins last week as well.
“Lukas (Masters) has been a solid addition to our defensive corps since coming over from Columbia Valley,” added McLeod. “He is strong to the puck and has a knack for joining the offense at the most opportune times and it’s paid off for us.”
