City of Merritt host an budget open house

Residents of the city of Merritt are invited to attend an Open House this Thursday to learn about proposed changes to its municipal budget for the next five years.
Mayor, members of the city council, and city staff will also be on hand to take questions and to provide details on how public funds are allocated to city services and projects that impact the community.
The 2026-2030 Financial Plan Open House will be held at the Merritt Civic Centre, with two sessions taking place.
The first will be on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a brief presentation being held at 12:30 p.m. The second will be later that evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with an evening presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Following each presentation, city officials will be available to answer questions from those in attendance. Refreshments will also be served following the presentations.
