Motorists are being warned of slick highway conditions again today as yesterday’s snowfall and ice on the roads caused multiple accidents blocking traffic.
Traffic came to a halt Thursday afternoon after two separate vehicle incidents just before the turnoff for Highway 97C, the Okanagan Connector.
The incidents happened between between Exits 276 and 286, blocking northbound lanes.
No injuries were reported. A picture from the scene shared to Facebook showed a partially ripped open semi on its side.
Snow and continuing cold temperatures are expected to persist again today so drivers should prepare for winter driving conditions and check Drive BC or Q101.ca before venturing out this morning.
