Centennials make trade prior to KIJHL deadline

The Merritt Centennials continue with their line-up ahead of this Friday’s KIJHL trade deadline.

On Tuesday, the Cents shipped forward Wyatt Ball to the Quesnel River Rush in exchange for Dane Dietz.

In 20 games with the Cents this season, Ball had six goals and seven assists, and a whopping 146 penalty minutes.

In return the Cents acquire a six-foot, 18 year old forward who has four goals among his 11 points this season.

It’s unsure whether Dietz will be in a Centennials uniform this weekend as the Cents continue to push toward the playoffs.

On Friday night, Merritt will travel to Revelstoke for a 7 p.m. contest with the Grizzlies in a divisional match-up while Saturday night, the Cents entertain the 100 Mile House Wranglers at the NVMA.

Both games begin at 7 p.m. and can be heard on Q101 with the Super Save Gas pre-game show at 6:45 each evening.
