UPDATED: Suspects Sought In Brutal Attack on Business Owner

Merritt RCMP are looking for two suspects who brutally assaulted a local business owner Monday morning in what is believed to be a targeted attack.
Merritt police Staff Sgt. Josh Roda told Q101 news this morning that two suspects wearing all black, with face coverings and gloves entered around 8:30 am. J.J.’s Barbershop at Voght Street and Walters Street, where the assaulted owner operator before fleeing on foot. Nothing was taken during the attack leading RCMP to believe that the incident was targeted.
After the assault the suspects fled on foot across Voght Street to a white four- door sport utility vehicle parked on Irvine Avenue. The vehicle appears to be a 2017 white, Kia Sportage.

The vehicle was last seen leaving Merritt past River Ranch Rd.
