Merritt City Hall back to five day work week

The two-year trial period of a compressed and extended-hour work week has come to an end
meaning Merritt City Hall will revert back to being open five days per week.

In November 2022, several city departments began a one year trial of having staff work
two extra hours each day from Tuesday to Friday in exchange for Mondays off.

The trial period was extended for a second year in 2023 with the exercise to expire on Nov. 12, 2024.

The new schedule of office hours for Merritt City Hall will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one hour lunch break from 12 noon to 1:15 p.m.
