Motorists should expect a messy drive on the highways starting tomorrow as high gusty winds, rapidly accumulating snow, and blowing snow with poor visibility are in the forecast.
Environment Canada has issued four Special Weather Statements for the region which will effect those travelling on the highways to start the work week.
The highways effected are the Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt, and Merritt to Kamloops, Highway 3 Hope to Princeton via the Allison Pass and the Connector from Merritt to Kelowna.
A strong frontal system passing through central B.C. will cause the weather maker to sweep through the region.
The bulk of the weather begins Monday with heavy snow and high winds, and strong winds continuing on Tuesday.
