The TNRD has announced that the evacuation alert in the Spences Bridge area has been EXPANDED due to the Botanie Valley – Shetland Creek Wildfire.
In a press release, it was noted approximately 54 addressed properties, and all properties outlined on the attached map have been newly placed on Evacuation Alert. This makes for a total of approximately 206 addressed properties on alert in Electoral Area “I” (Blue Sky Country).
Areas newly placed on Evacuation Alert are as follows:
- 54 addressed properties in the Botanie Valley area, and all properties outlined on the attached map.

TNRD
Areas remaining on Evacuation Alert are as follows:
- 5700 Laluwissin Creek FSR (Ruddocks Ranch/Onion Lake), and all properties to the East on Laluwissin Creek FSR, including all cabins on Turnip Lake;
- Hat Creek north and TNRD properties along Highway 1 between Ashcroft and Spences; and
- all properties outlined on the attached map.
