BREAKING NEWS: Another Emergency Room Closure at Nicola Valley Hospital

Merritt and area residents are advised of temporary changes to emergency department hours at the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre due to limited nurse availability.

This marks the tenth closure of the emergency room at the Nicola Valley Hospital in 2024 and sixth in the month of July, including a two-day, 48 hour closure July 7 to July 9.

Emergency services will be unavailable from 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 to 8 a.m. on Monday, July 29. Patients can access care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during this time.
