Guess what? Yup! Another temporary closure of the Nicola Valley Hospital
Nicola Valley Hospital
The emergency room of the Nicola Valley Hospital will be closed yet again for another 26-hour period beginning Sunday morning at 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday morning.
This is the second closure of the emergency department in the past three days. On Friday morning the emergency department was closed from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday morning. According to the press release issued by Interior Health on Saturday evening, limited physician availability is the reasoning behind the closure.
Over the past three weeks, there have been five closures of the emergency room in the Nicola Valley Hospital.
Patients can access care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during this time.
All other inpatient services will continue as normal at Nicola Valley Hospital.
