Fun-filled weekend ahead for Merritt
There is no shortage of activities to choose from this weekend in the Nicola Valley and it all kicks off this evening with two events including the second Night Market in downtown Merritt.
The event presented by the Merritt and District Chamber of Commerce begins tonight at 5 p.m. The event will happen on Quilchena Ave between Voght and Garcia Street with live music at Spirit Square this evening as well.
All your favorite vendors will be on hand and Laurie Turmel of the Chamber says that with the better weather in the forecast tonight, more vendors will be on hand, displaying their wares.
A note to motorists that Quilchena Ave will be blocked off tonight beginning at 5 p.m. between Voght and Garcia Street.
Meanwhile, the Pacific Forest Rally returns to the Nicola Valley tonight after a brief hiatus.
The event attracts rally teams from around Canada and the U.S. which compete in production-based cars on the challenging gravel roads of the Nicola Valley.
The Rally will also host a CAR SHOW along Granite Ave tonight between Voght and Garcia St. from 4:30-5:30.
Other events happening this weekend include the first ever Healing Connections workshops for those suffering from chronic pain on Saturday from 1-4 at the Nicola Valley Arts Centre and the Love to Dance Academy Once Upon A Time Fundraiser at the Civic Centre on Sunday.
