Motor vehicle Incident closed portion of Highway 5A near Monck Park.

Drive BC is advising motorists to expect major delays this evening as a motor vehicle incident has shut down a portion of  Highway 5A between Monck Park Rd and Pennask Lake Rd (13.9 km , 6 to 20 km north of Merritt).

Assessment in progress. Officials have set-up detours via: HWY 5.

There’s no word of any injuries at this time and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
