Vehicle incident snarls northbound traffic on Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt

Drivers heading back home to Kamloops, Merritt and area Sunday (June 2) ran into an unexpected delay.

DriveBC  reported a vehicle incident on the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday which blocked the northbound lanes on Highway 5 at Coquihalla Lakes Road.

Motorists were detoured via the Trans Canada Highway from Hope to Spences Bridge and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton.

There were no reports of injuries and the investigation is on-going.
