Rustad, Luck Hosting Merritt Town Hall Meeting

The leader of the BC Conversatives will be in the city on Sunday.

John Rustad, will be joined by Fraser-Nicola Conservative candidate Tony Luck for a Town Hall Meeting at the Merritt Civic Centre.

The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m.

The election style stop in the Nicola Valley is one of many that the leader will be making as his party tries to close the gap between the Conservatives and the governing NDP.

According to recent polls, the NDP have 42 per cent of decided voters. The Conservatives are second with 32 per cent which is a five point gain in the polls since April.

The BC United Party are now tied with the Green Party with 12 per cent support.

Voters in the province will be going to the polls on October 19.
