Those venturing out on the highways may run into some inclement weather this weekend.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region as a cool airmass will bring two to five cm of snow on the mountain passes Thursday night and lasting possibly as late as Saturday morning.
The local highways affected include:
-The Coquihalla to Hope
-The Coquihalla to Kamloops
-The Connector to Kelowna
-Highway 3 Hope to Princeton
Those travelling along the Allison Pass, Kootenay Pass, Begbie Summit, and Rogers Pass will also experience tricky highway conditions.
Motorists are urged to check Drive BC for highway information this weekend.
