Emergency Alert Test To Rollout Wednesday

In conjunction with Emergency Preparedness Week on now until Saturday, the province will be conducting a test of it’s Emergency Alert System this morning at 10:55.

In a media statement, the province said that the emergency alert test will assess the system’s readiness for an actual emergency and identify any required adjustments that need to be made.

Cellphone users, radio listeners and those watching television will get a notification again this morning at 10:55 a.m.

Last year during B.C. record wildfire season, twenty four emergency alerts were issued throughout the province.
