Okanagan Connector closed overnight following serious vehicle incident

MERRITT, B.C. — The Okanagan Connector east of Merritt remains closed in both directions Wednesday (Jan. 24) morning.

DriveBC reported of a vehicle incident on the stretch of Highway 97C at Kane Valley Road, between Aspen Grove and Hamilton Hill, at around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

An assessment is underway, and there’s no detour available.

However, DriveBC says the highway is estimated to reopen at 7 a.m.
