MERRITT — In a press release Trans Mountain updated the community on their progress regarding pipeline work from Kamloops to Merritt.
The Merritt Camp Community is now closed. Winterization and demobilization work is proceeding as the work will wrap up for the season.
The winter weather won’t shut down work completely however. Crews will continueto work in the BC Interior so you may notice construction activities in your area.
Most of the pipeline construction on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project is complete in the Kamloops urban area. During the final phase of work, you may notice small crews working to complete valve installation; right-of-way and access road cleanup.

As for the environment that has been affected by construction, reseeding, replanting and land reclamation is underway.
The Tolko Construction Office and Yard located in Merritt may be used for the delivery and storage of construction materials and equipment. That could include installation of temporary office buildings or trailers to support construction crews building the pipeline and associated facilities. It will also be used for transportation of materials and equipment to and from the site.
