MERRITT — The BCHL has announced it’s three stars of the week.
Among the honorable mentions was Merritt Centennials star forward Michael Felsing who notched 5 assists in 3 games this week against West Kelowna, Vernon and Prince George. His sharp play helped the Centennials win two of three games over that span.
Felsing started the season as a pure playmaker, with 7 assists in his first 6 games. He would then go on a goal scoring streak with 6 goals and 12 points in 8 games.
Playing recently with Dylan Lariviere and Jaxson Murray he is back to playmaking with 7 assists in 4 games. Michael is known for his hockey smarts, smooth skating, playmaking ability and general IQ on the ice.
He is averaging 1.30 points per game with 6 goals and 20 assists, good for 26 points in 20 games.
His top-notch play has earned him an NCAA scholarship with Robert Morris University for the 2024/25 season.
“Michael has earned this scholarship with his work ethic, determination and consistent play. We are proud that Michael has committed to RMU to continue his Scholastic and Hockey career.” – Head Coach Brian Passmore
This is Michael Felsing’s final season in junior hockey.
