Heavy Rainfall forecasted for Yellowhead Road and Bridge

NICOLA — There will be heavy rain over the Coquihalla between Merritt and Hope moving north.

Rainfall along with thunderstorms are expected to spread through the Nicola Valley and the Fraser Canyon. Motorists should be aware of pooling of water, lack of visibility and debris washing onto the road.

There has been more debris on Highway 8 recently so increased patrols and equipment in the area are working to clear the roads. If you come across anything hazardous to road users in your travels call
