Merritt Civic Centre open for Evacuees 10 am to 4 p.m. Today

MERRITT — If you are in Merritt and you are still under Evacuation Order today you are eligible for a renewal.

Evacuees are encouraged to come to Merritt Civic Centre located on 1950 Mamette Avenue between 10am and 4pm today to process your renewal.

Those coming to Merritt should turn north onto Voght St at the four way stoplights. Those coming in from highway 8 or Lytton turn left at the four way stoplights and then take a first left to Merritt Civic Centre once at 1950 Mamette Avenue.

Any evacuees who need assistance, the ESS will be open from 10am in Merritt Civic Centre.

Eight reserves within Lytton have been told to evacuate because of the threat of the Stein Mountain fire. The evacuated reserves are Lytton reserves 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, 33 and Nicklepalm reserve 4.
