Even though the weather in the Nicola Valley shows temperatures in the mid-thirties for the next week, things are heating up even more for those involved with the Merritt Centennials as off season preparations continue for the BCHL hockey club.
The new look Centennials, under the direction of General Manager Kevin Rabbitt and assistant GM and head coach Brian Passmore have been busy signing players and filling in holes in their line-up all gearing towards the season opener Friday Sept. 22nd when the Powell River Kings come to the NVMA.
“The anticipation is through the roof as we gear up for an amazing campaign, and the response from our fans this offseason has been amazing,” said Collin Budd, new Marketing and Sales Manager for the Cents. “Buzz is up about the team and season tickets are selling fast!”
This demand for tickets has prompted the team to extend their Early Bird season ticket drive.
“We ( Centennials) don’t want anyone to miss out on the action at the NVMA this year, and that’s why we’re extending our Early Bird rates for those who need just a little more convincing,” Budd added. “Die-hard fans and newcomers alike, this is your golden opportunity to secure your spot for every hockey night at the NVMA.”
Early bird season tickets are $225 for adults, $175 for students and seniors and $75 for children.
