Canada Day celebrations in Merritt

MERRITT – The Nicola Valley is putting on Canada Day celebrations.
With Canada Day being on Saturday (July 1), the City of Merritt has a day full of fun activites.
It starts with the most important meal of the day, breakfast, put on by the Knights of Columbus between 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Merritt Civic Centre.
After that head to Rotary park for a packed day of activites which includes:
- Games
- Egg toss
- Tug-o-war
- contests
- 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
- Live music

There is also the Farmers Market still happening from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. every Saturday at the Baillie House parking lot.
Due to the Category 2 and 3 fire ban in place throughout the province, there is no fireworks this year.
