Music in the Park tuned for the summer
MERRITT – Music in the Park has the volume cranked to the max for the summer.
“This year you are going to be treated to a variety of genres of music,” said Sky McKeown, Director of Recreation and Facilities within the City of Merritt.
Music in the Park runs every Thursday throughout July and August in Rotary Park between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m..
McKeown breaks down what residents can expect this summer.
“Everything from blues, rock, country, to 50’s and 60s classic rock. It’s a little mix of everything in there.”
The full line-up goes as followed:
- The Spiritual Warriors
- July 6
- Atlas
- July 13
- The Doug James Band
- July 20
- Outlaws and Lace
- July 27
- Bobby Garcia and the Cooper Country Band
- August 3
- RULE 857
- August 10
- Jackson Hollow
- August 17
- Coquihalla Coyotes
- August 24
- Randy Chillihitzia
- August 31
Since it is an outdoor event, McKeown added it is weather permitted.
“We might have to cancel due to down pour or thick smoke conditions, hopefully we don’t suffer those, but that would be the only reason why Music in the Park won’t go off during the summer.”
The Spiritual Warriors start off the fun on July 6, between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Rotary Park.
