MERRITT – The Merritt Centennials have acquired goalie Lukas Renaud from the Cowichan Valley Capitals to complete a move made at the trade deadline.
Renaud, who is part of the future considerations in the trade that sent Davide Patella to the Capitals, will join the Centennials for the 2023-2024 season.
The 19-year-old played in 29 games with the Capitals last season, holding a 4-18-3 record with a 0.896 SV% and a 3.90 GAA.
A rookie to the league last year, the Montreal native split time in net with McCoy Bidewell.
Renaud joins a goalie room with potential returnees Johnny Hicks and Conor Sullivan.
