TNRD helping Love to Dance Academy with fundraiser

MERRITT – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is helping out the Love to Dance Academy with their fundraiser for a new dance floor.

“We [TNRD] have supported a lot of the local community groups and society and this is one we feel very worth while, giving just a small amount of money enough to help and make a difference, something we enjoy doing,” said David Laird, TNRD Electoral Area M Director.

Both the TNRD Electoral Areas M and N directors, Laird and Herb Graham, donated $1,000, $2,000 in total, towards the Academy.

” I think we both feel strongly about supporting them simply because it’s just an awesome venue for our little community,” said Graham. “It’s not only for the children, but for adults as well, it’s just another good project.”

The Love to Dance Academy is holding a massive bottle drive Saturday, May 26, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to raise money for a new portable dance floor.
