2022/23 Merritt Centennials year end awards

MERRITT – As the 50th anniversary season comes to a close, the Merritt Centennials handed out their year end awards.
Players, coaches, board members, parents, billet families, and fans gathered at the Seniors Centre to celebrate the 2023/23 Centennials.
The players who were honoured this season with awards were:

- Most Improved Player
- Ryan Spinale
- Fan Favourite
- Jaxson Murray
- Academic Scholar
- Aleksey Chichkin
- Rookie of the Year
- Jaxson Murray
- Most Promising Player
- Diego Johnson
- Coaches Award
- Jacob Smith
- Most Gentlemanly Player
- Jonathan Wong
- Best Defenceman
- Jackson Murphy-Johnson
- Unsung Hero
- Aidan Lindblad
- Leadership and Ability
- Christian Lowe
- Joe Tenant Most Dedicated
- Michael Shara
- Connor Farren
- Beth Nadeau and Stuart Family Hustle and Heart
- Christian Lowe
This season, Murphy-Johnson and Lowe will be heading onto to future endeavors, being the only over agers on the team. The two of them were awarded rings to commemorate ending their BCHL careers with the Merritt Centennials.
