Batch of methamphetamine circulating in Kamloops contains fentanyl: Interior Health

KAMLOOPS – Interior Health issued an alert for a batch of toxic drugs circulating in Kamloops.

The drugs are sold as methamphetamine and present as colourless crystals and sugar.

Testing shows the drugs contain fentanyl and sugar. That brings a severe risk of overdose and death. Other users may experience drowsiness or loss of consciousness.

The alert will stay in place until next Saturday (Feb. 25).

Drug users are encouraged to get their substances tested and to never use alone.
