Olde Barley Market robbed leading to Merritt RCMP ask the publics help

MERRITT – A robbery took place last night (December 12) that is leading Merritt RCMP to ask for the publics assistance.

“There was a robbery at the Olde Barley Market last night, shortly after 10:00 p.m.,” said Sgt. Josh Roda. “A male went in with a stick and robbed the place.”

Police said the majority of what was taken was liquor and a little bit of cash.

No one was injured during the incident and RCMP describe the suspect as:

• Approximately 5’5
• Black full zip hoodie
• Grey cable-knit balaclava
• Black cloth reusable bag
