Time to get rid of pumpkins properly

MERRITT – Now that Halloween and pumpkin carving season is over, its time to dispose of them properly.

The City of Merritt is reminding residents to place their pumpkins either in the garbage or take it to the City’s Compost Facility, but do not put them in the recycle.

The Compost Facility is open Monday-Friday between 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and is located off Airport Road, across from the Merritt Fire Zone/BC Wildlife Service building.
