Special air quality statement in effect for the Nicola region

MERRITT – Residents in Merritt and the whole Nicola region may be seeing smoky skies.

Environment Canada put a special air quality statement in place for the Nicola region due to wildfire smoke in the area over the next 24-48 hours.

The statement will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
