Road closures throughout Merritt

MERRITT – There will be two separate road closures throughout Merritt this week (August 8-14).

The City said Pine Street, between Government Avenue and Walnut Avenue, will be closed intermittently between August 8 and August 12, for sewer connection.

“It is expected that the closure will be for four hours at a time and it is expected that these closures will only occur twice in this week period,” said officials.

As well over the weekend, Garcia Street and Coutlee Avenue will be closed due to the Central Interior Show & Shine.

According to the City, there will be temporary closures from Quilchena Avenue to Coldwater Avenue, as well as Coutlee Avenue on August 13-14 between 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m..
