Two people arrested, multiple people reportedly seriously injured after incident at Merritt motel

MERRITT — RCMP say two people are in custody after officers responded to a motel in Merritt on Wednesday (Aug. 3) where it was reported that multiple people were seriously injured.

In a news release Wednesday, police say the investigation is unfolding and information is being confirmed, but they believe the incident to be targeted and there doesn’t appear to be any further risk to the public.
