Travelers Welcome Merritt Gas Prices
While the price of gas in the province continues to soar close to the two-dollars-per litre, motorists in Merritt and area continue to boast some of the lowest prices in the province.
As of Wednesday morning, Gas Buddy.Com reported that a litre of regular fuel will cost between $1.749 and $1.869
On Wednesday, the lowest price in the province is in Vernon at $1.699.
John Naylor, who was travelling through the area on his way to Vancouver said it was a welcome relief to see prices below $1.80 a litre.
“My last fill up was $1.92 a litre, so when I see these prices, I was happy to pull over and fill up.” he said. “You know it’s bad when your fuel bill is almost as high as your lodging expenses.”
The war between Ukraine and Russia continues to be the antagonist that is driving gasoline prices up worldwide.
