Saturday night in West Kelowna was an exciting game from the opening puck drop to final horn. West Kelowna with nothing to play for started six APs including goaltender Angelo Zol. Despite the young subs, it would be the Warriors striking first with the captain Elan Bar-Lev-Wise firing home from the high slot beating Peyton Trzaska clean blocker side.
The Cents would respond on a broken-play as the puck would find the stick of Jackson Krill to the side of the net, he would beat Zol up high to level the score. The game would remain tied late into period two.
With Davide Patella sitting in the box, the Warriors captain would net his second of the night to restore the West K one goal lead.
Cents would earn a 5-on-3 late in the period but Zol would stand tall making a number of key saves to keep West Kelowna in front by one.
Trzaska stopping 24/26 after two.
West K would find two quick goals early in period 3 to stretch the lead to 4-1, curtesy of Cameron Hicklin and Marcus Joughin.
The Cents would reply with Ben Ward firing on and Levi Carter finding the lose puck behind Zol to bring Merritt back within two. That is as close as the Cents would come, West K adding three garbage time goals to ice the contest and win 7-2.
Cents are back in action tomorrow afternoon for the final game of the season versus Penticton at 4pm.
