Cents’ Davidson to represent Norway at IIHF U18 Tournament

Merritt Centennial Liam Davidson will represent Norway this Spring, as the young defenseman has been named to their U18 National Team Roster ahead of the Division 1 Championship.

Division 1 is one step below the overall championship which is home to teams like Canada, USA, Sweden and Finland. The winning team of the Division 1 tournament earns promotion to next year’s big event. Similarly the loser would be relegated down a division.

Norway is joined in the week long event from April 11 – 17 in Slovakia by the home nation, Kazakhstan, Denmark, France, and Japan.

Davidson and Norway will open their quest for promotion versus Kazakhstan on April 11, 2022.

With Merritt this season, Davidson has four points, (1G, 3A) in 37 games played.
