VICTORIA — B.C.’s Ministry of Health is reporting positive news on the COVID-19 front Tuesday (Mar. 22) — no new deaths have been reported province-wide. The B.C. death toll from the virus remains at 2,974.
In its regular surveillance report, the ministry notes 254 people remain hospitalized with COVID-19, a decrease of 17 from Monday. There are 48 people in intensive care, down by one.
Three of the province’s COVID-19 outbreaks in healthcare facilities have come to an end, leaving only five active in all of B.C. That includes an outbreak lingering at Hillside Village in Salmon Arm.
The ministry received 259 positive tests Tuesday, including 76 in Interior Health.
