COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to decrease

The Province of BC is reporting that 419 patients are currently in hospital with COVID-19, a decrease of 30 from yesterday. Of those, 63 are in the ICU, the same number as Monday.

In the past 24-hour reporting period, one person passed away in Fraser Health.

B.C. is reporting 254 new cases of COVID-19.

The outbreak at Gillis House in Merritt is stated to still be ongoing.

As of Tuesday, March 8, 2022, 90.7% (4,520,355) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 86.5% (4,312,590) have received their second dose.
