Zakall centre-peice of major trade with Vernon

The Merritt Centennials have swung a massive five-player deal with the Vernon Vipers, with local defenceman Talon Zakall at the centre.

Vipers Receive:

• Talon Zakall
• Luke Lavery

Cents Recieve:

• Nick Remissong
• Braden Smith
• Desmond Johnson
• Future Considerations

Zakall had spent three seasons with his hometown team collected 60 points (14G, 46A), in 134 games played.

Lavery was acquired by Merritt in a earlier trade with Nanaimo for Walker Erickson, he had yet to suit up for the Cents.

Johnson has played 17 games this year in Vernon, chipping in with 5 assists from the back-end. Remissong has 4 points, (2G, 2A), and Smith has yet to hit the scoresheet in 16 games played on the blue-line.
