Merritt man swept away by river found safe

The Merritt RCMP want to thank the public for their assistance in helping locate a missing man that was last seen being swept away in the Merritt flood.

On November 19, 2021, the Merritt RCMP requested the public’s assistance to identify and locate a man that was last seen being swept away by flood waters on November 15, 2021.

“The man has been identified and found to be safe and sound in Kamloops.” says Cst. Jon Puterbough. “He is patiently waiting for the evacuation order to be lifted to return home. We want to thank the public for their assistance in identifying him and getting us in contact with the him to ensure he made it out safely.”
