State of Emergency declared due to flooding – Nov 15/21

The City of Merritt has officially enacted a Local State of Emergency.

The declaration allows the Emergency Operations Centre full rein of the evolving situation.

Evacuation orders for low lying areas are expected around 130am.

The river is forecast to peak at 4am.
