The Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Board of Directors has re-elected Ken Gillis as the Chair for another 1-year term. Gillis has held the role since 2018.
Gillis was contested by Kamloops Councillor Dieter Dudy for the position. The vote was held in a secret ballot of the board which include Mayor Linda Brown and Area Directors David Laird and Herb Graham. Mayor Brown did not vote, after declaring a conflict of interest.
The Mayor of Ashcroft, Barbara Roden was acclaimed as the new vice-chair. Former vice-chair Bill Kershaw didn’t seek nomination this year after three years in the post.
